IHG Hotels group latest PointBreak promotion

The IHG Rewards Club are back with the latest of their PointBreak promotions. During these, a number of hotels are made available for booking at only 5,000 points. For the higher rated properties this can represent a significant saving.

• For stays until:  31 July 2015

At the time of writing, the full list of properties taking part had been made available for preview, before the promotion goes live. If you are interested in booking, do so as soon as the promo goes live, as there is very limited availability and rooms will be snapped up quickly.

As IHG operates from the USA, booking should open Tuesday afternoon (UK time).

Remember that you are only allowed to make up to two bookings per hotel – but for any duration. However, bookings are refundable – as for any other reward booking.

The booking page can be found here. Confusingly, this page will still show the old PointBreak list, until the current promo goes live. Check that it states 31 July as the last day for stays, to ensure you are reading the latest list.

Note: If you make a booking and then make any changes, the whole booking will revert to standard rates.

BA launches its latest Club Europe, Club World & First sale

British Airways has launched its latest Club Europe, Club World and First flights and holidays sale.

• For travel up to: 10 April 2016 (Heathrow departures) / 10 May 2016 (Gatwick departures)

As always, the easiest way to find the best deals is to use the BA low fare finder or the holiday finder tool.

Hilton are once again running their summer sale, offering up to 30% off weekend stays in Europe, Middle East & Africa. In addition, Hilton HHonors members receive an extra 5% off on selected dates.

Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) are running a promotion offering up to 25% off when you buy or gift points.

The discount is on a sliding scale as follows:

• Get 10% off 500–9,500 Starpoints

When should you buy points?
