Children to travel free & special Easter adult price with Heathrow Express

Heathrow Express, the direct 15 minute train link from Heathrow to central London (Paddington), have announced that from 27 March 2015 children under 16 will be able to travel free, when accompanied by a parent or guardian. This has previously been available as a special offer, but will now be made permanent.

Fraser Brown, Director of Heathrow Express said: “As many parents know only too well, some travel organisations tend to charge families with children more, not less, in the school holidays. We are doing the opposite. He continued: “We want to encourage more leisure passengers, families in particular, to use our service. Allowing children to travel free at all times from now on is a key part of doing this.”

The company also announced that over the Easer weekend – Good Friday (3 April) to Bank Holiday Monday (6 April) –  Heathrow Express will be running a price offer aimed at adult leisure travellers:

• Single standard tickets down from £21.50 to £10
• Return tickets (valid for travel after the four-day period) down from £35 to £31.50

Remember, you can earn Avios on Heathrow Express bookings – 100 Avios per Express class one-way journey, 200 Avios for Business First, and double that for return journeys. If you have a newly opened Iberia Plus account, this is an easy way of meeting the requirement to earn at least one Avios, so that you can transfer points between Iberia / BA / avios.com using the ‘Combine My Avios’ tool.
